Or would you rather have an organization whose culture is always ready to change?

Key Learning Objectives:

  1. Audiences will understand the importance of a “readiness for change” culture and get introduced to this change model.

  2. Audiences will review and understand the three factors that must be in place to have a “readiness for change” culture and the importance of leadership that supports these factors.

  3. Audiences will learn how to use a tool to evaluate their own organizations to determine which factors need to be improved before their organization has a “readiness for change” culture.

Overview/Abstract:

Change is a constant in today’s organizations.  Organizations need to proactively approach change in order to stay on the cutting edge of their competition.  This dynamic presentation teaches participants how to develop and measure a “readiness for change” culture: a culture that expects and looks forward to change initiating from all levels of an organization.  Ed Cornelius shows audiences three factors that are essential to developing this “readiness for change” culture.  He then guides audiences through a benchmarking process to measure where their organization falls along these four factors.  Audience members walk away from this presentation with a clear sense of areas for improvement before their organization moves towards a “readiness for change” culture.

Topics covered include: (1) The Difference Between Planned Change and Emergent Change; (2) The Three Elements that Contribute to a “Readiness for Change” Culture; (3) The Type of Leadership Necessary to Support a Change Culture; (4) Examples of How to Measure a “Readiness for Change” Culture.
