Types of Coaching Engagements

Cornelius & Associates will help leads successfully perform their roles through on of four types of high-impact performance coaching engagements:

bullet Type One: Intervention for Corrective Action- provides targeted help and support for leaders facing a “must change” or critical turn-around situation
bullet Type Two: Specific Skill of Leadership Style Improvement- provides coaching for leaders on a particular skill set for a specific problem or situation
bullet Type Three: Preparation for Special or New Assignments- helps leaders prepare for a new assignment or a change in job status that will demand new skill sets
bullet Type Four: Professional Development and Personal Growth- helps leaders continually improve in their leadership skills and their performance in various leadership/managerial roles.  A major purpose of this type of coaching engagement is to increase the leader's insight into themselves as well as their understanding of how to increase their impact on the organization.

Each of the four coaching engagements above has different performance goals.  In the first three types of engagements, it is Cornelius & Associates' goal to achieve significant measurable results within ninety days of completing the diagnosis.  Because of this philosophy, many of these three types of engagements have an intensive period of three months, and then only periodic "check-ups" and follow-up calls for another brief period.

The last type of coaching engagement (professional development and personal growth) tends to be a longer, less-intensive intervention.  In this situation, the engagement can last six months or more, depending on the personal growth goals of the coaching candidate.
